our birthday 2013

The first week of December our birthday arrived with the first big snowfall of the season.

The snow was on William's wish list, and the orange rolls and cinnamon rolls for breakfast were on mine.  I felt like I spent the day driving through the snow. Not to complain, what better thing to do on your birthday than face your fears.  Grandma treated us to lunch at Carl's Jr.  When Kyle and Mary came home, they took William out to the park for sledding. I still had a lot of dropping off and picking up from dance to do in the evening and went out in search of the pinata that I had promised William.
Success! He loved it so much, the monkey received a pardon, and still sits atop of the television cabinet today.
Later, we had pizza and presents. William agreed to postpone Nickle City until the following Saturday, due to the weather.  I was harried from the bad driving conditions, and he was ready to play with his new toys.

                  My Superman.

Kyle was quite pleased with the present he found for me.  I named him Hugh.

My dear friend Robin brought us this Red Velvet cake from Costco. I love sharing a birthday with you, William.

Next day, home from the preschool celebration.

our birthday 2011

The first weekend in December, William and I celebrated our birthday together.  William is affectionate, handsome, funny, tyranical.  When he is tired he says "I sleep in yours bed."  When he is impatient he says, "Move yours butt!"  When people ask me why I have ten children, I wonder how they could imagine a world without William.

This was the first present I handed William on the morning of his birthday.  He just wanted to hold it.

In the morning Granddad took us to a big Christmas activity for families of BYU faculty.

Olivia's favorite breakfast.

Sophie was in love with this bouncing Santa.

Sam helped William at the craft table.

In the afternoon we met Grandma Martha for more celebration. I love turning forty and being able to say I went to Chuck E. Cheese for my birthday.

Thank you to Grandma Martha for the beautiful cake she bought us.

I am grateful to share my birthday with you William.

up-do, weather, william love

More of Ben's pictures. I can't resist.

It's my blog, so I indulge in William love.

This one looks so much like Ben when he was two.

Sunday May 21, a fun day for the girls.  The home teachers bought them a make-over at the ward auction.  Thier friends' mom was the artist.  We planned it for Sunday morning so they could show off at church. I almost cried when I saw them!

My poor girls are lucky to get a ponytail out of me.

In the afternoon, the weather was wonderful.  Finally something like spring.

It was a happy day.

Back to breakfast night made us happy too.
